Loneliness 03:27
You said I know what the seasons bring You said it goes when those children sing Well when it’s only half past noon (stay tuned) Till the time gets quicker How to stand the wait To smile and change your pace Loneliness Gone with your lying, sayin’ it ain’t it Oh Loneliness, you know why Loneliness Found it out later, tryin’ to be slick Oh Loneliness, say goodbye Well no one told me when would things get real Just walk on by and tell me what’s your deal? Well wow it’s now at half past two (so soon) Cuz the time gets quicker How to stand the wait To smile and change your pace Loneliness Gone with your lying, sayin’ it ain’t it Oh Loneliness, you know why Loneliness Found it out later, tryin’ to be slick Oh Loneliness, say goodbye Loneliness Gone with your lying, sayin’ it ain’t it Oh Loneliness, you know why Loneliness Found it out later, tryin’ to be slick Oh Loneliness, say goodbye

Holy Hell 03:24
If I knew how I’d tell you all the time Talking about, and I’d tell you what it’s like Well holy hell Might as well talk to myself now Different how our feelings don’t align Solve it and now it’s repeating all the sign Well holy hell Trying not to talk to myself now You never wanted anything Well are we over? Tell me again No matter what our hearts will bring It’s over, It’s over, I think Remember counting all the things Well are we over? Tell me again No matter what our hearts will bring It’s over, It’s over. With or without, I’m trying to pick a side Deep in my doubts, I be passing 25 Well holy hell Trying not to think how it felt now You never wanted anything Well are we over? Tell me again No matter what our hearts will bring It’s over, It’s over, I think Remember counting all the things Well are we over? Tell me again No matter what our hearts will bring It’s over, It’s over, I think It’s over, It’s over, I think No matter what our hearts will bring It’s over, It’s over.

So it’s on, the feeling comes and movin’ Time is only mine to steal Working on what it real Found my song, sang it wrong no foolin’ Warmin’ up to all my chills Thinkin’ I’m over the hill Tell me not to dwell cuz I don’t feel like no one else oh Why can’t I feel like there’s something wrong Why can’t I feel like there’s something gone Wait, hold on The sun has yet to dawn upon me Reading everything I’ve read No it’s all in my head Pressure’s on, the feeling comes and slowly Everyone is still thinkin’ I’m over the hill Tell me not to dwell cuz I don’t feel like no one else oh Tell me why can’t I feel like there’s something wrong Tell me why can’t I feel like there’s something gone

Nisemono 03:01
I tried my best to bring For you, for you It don’t mean anything So true, so true This time I’ll see All the things that I can’t hide From you Take one step back and change your mind All the fake and fraud inside No one can seek No one can hide 歌ってたのに With you, with you 偽物がいい? 多分、多分 影のように 明けるといいよね For you Take one step back and change your mind All the fake and fraud inside Know where you’ve been and what’s been right All the fake and fraud inside Now take one step back and change your mind We’re talkin’ No one can seek No one can hide You see this time I see All the things that I can’t hide From you

You pick it up again Build it back but never cross the line It’s only evident Saw you burning, flying through the night Some new found confidence Taken back from what’s now deep inside You say that you’ve got to be But you know that it’s not true Tell me everything’s alright (everything’s alright) Maybe it’s all my friends Runnin’ ‘round with nothing for a while Maybe it’s self-defense Jumping out of what’s called single file Maybe it’s happiness Now that I feel safe and sound, oh wow You say that you’ve got to be But you know that it’s not true Tell me everything’s alright (everything’s alright) Everything’s alright

about

When an artist sets out to build a universe it is often overwhelming and is lost in translation as they try to captivate their fans with lush visuals and concepts around the music. The challenges that come with the concept are juxtaposed with the opportunity to create something truly impactful for the project. Nisemono showcases Ginger Root combining all the aspects of his work to extend the music into a new world.

The phrase, Nisemono, loosely translates to “fraud or fake”, and is yet another part of the universe. The EP sets out to immerse the listeners in a world fully crafted by Lew. Nisemono tells the story of Ginger Root’s role in delivering the latest project for the biggest star in Japan, Kimiko Takeguchi. He is called in to help craft her vision and bring the music to life ahead of her American debut. The project brings an immense amount of pressure to the artist's career as it is meant to introduce her to the rest of the world.
